| New Online Community Created for Pine Forge Academy |

According to Wikipedia, a free, online encyclopedia, a social network service “uses software to build online social networks for communities of people who share interests and activities.” “Although there are many social networking sites such as Youtube, Facebook, and MySpace, alumni, students, and supporters of Pine Forge Academy needed a centralized online social networking community – one that was specific to the needs of those who love our school,” said Damian “Chip” Dizard, ‘90, creative director of Absolute Presence and co-founder of “ThaForge” site. Dizard is married to the former Rosalind “Buffye” Graham, ‘89.
Upon entering “ThaForge,” you will be greeted by Adrienne Hall, ‘04. Hall urges members to connect with former classmates, share photos and videos, and prepare for their tenth, 20th, or 30th year reunions. “Technology is always evolving. This new online community will help share the Pine Forge story as well as help preserve memories,” said Dave Cavins, vice president of web and design services of Razors Edge Studios and co-founder of “ThaForge” site. Cavins is married to the former Carley Cole, ’00.
The first 50 people who sign up as members of “ThaForge” have an opportunity to win a free iPod Touch, courtesy of PraizeVision. The random drawing is being held on Monday, June 2. For more information, please visit www.thaforge.com.
